Data Acquisition - Remote Experimental Data
This courselet will teach students how to acquire data from a remote source; it will use the data from a distributed, intelligent sensor network acquired from the NSF-funded SAGE project that enables scientists to understand the consequences of global urbanization and provides an excellent example of engaging with a remote data source. Students will work with a published application programming interface (API) to connect to remote sources, using the Sage Data Client API to acquire data of interest, and integrate it into a simple Python application for analysis.
Launching this artifact will open it within Chameleon’s shared Jupyter experiment environment, which is accessible to all Chameleon users with an active allocation.
